2018 Canada Games Wrap-Up

The 2018 Games are now complete with over 300 Nova Scotian’s having participated. I would like to take this opportunity to ‘Thank’ all participants/non-participants for your patience and commitment leading up to this great event and sincerely appreciate so much your being part of Team Nova Scotia. These numbers represent the largest contingent of folks to ever attend the Games outside of our province. Medal winners, what can I say ‘Congratulations’! Final count Gold 47, Silver 44.5, Bronze 30 for a total of 121.5!

In speaking with many of you I have heard that not only did they enjoy the event they were entered in but the overall experience that included the comradery among all participants and the entertainment factor.

Now, for those of you that would still like to acquire a NS team shirt another order will be placed at the end of this month. The shirts come in ladies and men’s sizes and are available for a $25.00 fee. To order please forward the fee payable to the Nova Scotia 55+ Games Society - No later than Sept. 25th to the following address: Brian Richardson PO Box 1558 Lunenburg, NS B0J 2C0       

As many of you have asked about future provincial and national games the next Nova Scotia Games will be held in AntIgonish August 1 -3, 2019 and the next Canada Games will be held in Kamloops, BC in August 2020.
