NS Team Bulletin #1

After a fun filled time in Pictou County Nova Scotia for the 2023 Provincial Games, on the agenda now for the 55+ Games is to organize Team Nova Scotia’s participation in the Quebec City National Games.

In September, two NS 55+ Directors attended a meeting in Quebec to meet the Host Committee and to learn all about Quebec City’s plans for the National Games. We were impressed about how important and well promoted the 55+ Games are to the Ville de Quebec! Event locations and social events are sure to please eveyone – participant, attendee and non-participant alike.

Who will have the chance to participate in the National Games?

Those who participated in Pictou’s 55+ Provincial Games in 2023 and who were Gold medal winners have the privilege to register firstly (within a time limit), followed by Silver and Bronze medalists and then any one else who participated at the Games in Pictou. If by chance, there are some remaining Team Nova Scotia vacancies, this will be announced through the website and participants will be chosen based on first come first served with completed registrations.

Registration will begin April 1, 2024. It will be important that you submit your completed registration in a timely way so as to secure your spot on Team Nova Scotia!

Our Quebec Hosts have reserved hotel rooms and designated Hôtel Concorde for Team Nova Scotia (as well as NB, NFLD, PEI).

Room rates each night August 26 to 31 per room type:

• Between $194 and $229 + taxes = $223.05 and $272.51. Parking is extra at $18 / day.
