Notice of Annual General Meeting

TAKE NOTICE that the Annual General Meeting (the “AGM”) of Nova Scotia 55+ Games Society (“NS 55+”) will be held in person on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 10:00AM AST at the Bedford Nova Scotia Legion for the following purposes:

  1. To receive, and if thought fit, to adopt the minutes of the Annual General Meeting of NS 55+ members held last September 2023 and other previous related documents or Minutes, where and if applicable.

  2. To receive and hear the Report of the Chair and President of the NS 55+ Board of Directors.

  3. To receive and consider the financial statements for the Association for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and for the ensuing year 2024-2025.

  4. Confirm Financials, investments, funding and related reports for the ensuing 2024-2025 year.

  5. To receive and hear the Report(s) of the Treasurer, Vice President, Regional Directors, Past President or any appointed positions.

  6. To approve the slate of Directors and any new, added or recently appointed Board positions or Regional or Board Directors.

  7. To approve revisions to the Nova Scotia 55+ Games Society By-laws.

  8. Board Chair and President’s Question and Answer Session. Members are invited to present or submit (if not in attendance) any questions they may have for the Board Chair and President in advance of the meeting. Questions may be submitted no later than 12PM Noon September 30th, 2024, to: Pres55PlusNS@gmail.com

  9. To transact any other or such other business that may have properly arisen, come up, arrived before the meeting or presents itself as the meeting arises/occurs, or prior to any adjournment thereof.

  10. Adjournment

The AGM will not be virtual, nor livestreamed. Only in-person or proxy voting shall be considered or allowed. We aim for, wish and encourage full and convenient participation. To participate live in this event, please register no later than 12 noon EDT, Wednesday, September 30, 2024.
